We've Been Busy!
I haven’t updated my dressag blog since October! How time flies when you’re having fun!
So, for the few that actually follow this blog, here’s a brief summary of what we’ve been up to!
Halloween
Every year I think about doing a headless horseman shoot, and every year I leave it too late to order the costume and arrange everything! Well, not this time! I managed to get it all together and pull it off!
Blake was incredible as usual – despite not being ridden for a week beforehand, the horrendous wind and me not being able to see a thing in my costume! We managed to get some fantastic shots
Another thing I have always wanted to do is to go to the gallops to really see how fast Blake can go! Only problem being, I am sh*t scared of going fast!
Cue Jesse on his ex 2* event horse – to be fair to them, they let us go in front most of the time and Blake managed to go fairly fast! The experience was unlike anything else I have ever done – literally the stuff of childhood dreams! That horse is my absolute soulmate and I am so very lucky! Video here!
Did I also mention that it was a childhood dream of mine to ride on a beach. Namely, Saunton Sands. Since going there as a child I have always wanted to go back with a horse and oh my god, what an experience! If it wasn’t so cold and wet, I think I would’ve cried with happiness. I am SO LUCKY!
Perhaps the biggest (or tiniest) update is that we now own two miniature Shetlands! I think they deserve a blog post of their own so I won’t say too much here but you can see more on them on my socials along with the announcement video!
