This new service has been a labour of love. I’ve long admired the striking work of J Klein Photos in Michigan, whose breathtaking fine art portraits have inspired me. Determined to offer something just as impactful here in the UK, I’ve invested a significant amount in premium software, specialist editing tools, and creative resources to ensure that every portrait I deliver is finished to the highest standard.
Unlike many “cut and paste” styles that result in flat or overly edited images, my approach retains all the natural, delicate details, whiskers, eyelashes, and subtle textures, bringing your animal to life against a rich, dark canvas. Whether you’re looking for a standalone piece or something that complements your existing wall art, these portraits are designed to be both elegant and emotive.
My first photoshoot with these new tools was at a beautiful yard in Saltash. I got to meet some breathtaking horses and even a tiny little palomino shetland too! I was quite nervous heading into the shoot. Truth be told, this was the first time I’d taken the leap and shot in RAW, as well as my first time using the software.
However, armed with a rattle, a cat toy and a lot of faith in myself, I managed to get some images that I can honestly say I am very proud of – and what a feeling that is!
To have my work appreciated and loved by others is a feeling like no other, and not one I shall take for granted! I will continue to invest in my education and development and build my skillset!
